Abnormal high
concentrations of lactate has been related to disease states
such as diabetes and lactate acidosis, etc.
L(+)-Lactate is the major stereoisomer of lactate formed in
human intermediary metabolism and is present in blood.
D(-)-Lactate is also present but only at about 1-5% of the
concentration of L(+)-Lactate. BioVision offers two
convenient Lactate Assay Kits for detecting L(+)-Lactate in
various biological samples such as blood, cells, culture
mediums, and fermentation mediums, etc. Pretreatment of
samples is not required. Lactate concentration can be
measured using fluorometric (at Ex/Em = 535/587 nm) or
colorimetric (at
= 570 nm) method (K607-100). Lactate Assay Kit II (K627-100)
provides an alternative colorimetric method for detecting
